Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, six bogies of the Puri- Haridwar Kalinga-Utkal Express derailed near Khatauli in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh today.
Reports said that six bogies were derailed near Khatauli station. Several passengers were feared to be dead. However, there has been no official confirmation from the Railways authorities.
The mishap occurred around 5.45pm while the train was on its way to Haridwar. Several injured passengers have been rushed to a nearby hospital.
It is feared that some passengers might have been trapped under the bogies. Rescue operation is underway.
