Bhubaneswar: Noraml life was paralyzed in many parts of the state because of hartal called by the All Odisha Auto Chalaka Mahasangha protesting against the App-based online auto service on Thursday.
As indicated by sources, atleast 1.5 lakh auto rickshaws will stay off the streets amid the hartal today.
The Taxi Association is likewise supporting the hartal called by the auto rickshaw association, the sources included.
On April 21, Bhubaneswar Autorickshaw Mahasangha had staged a demonstration at PMG square here protesting against App-based on-line auto services in the capital city.
The agitating members of the union took out a rally from Master Canteen Square to PMG Square demanding the closure of online companies, which are providing App-based auto rickshaw services at cheaper price.
