BJD Asks Amit Shah To Clarify Why Modi Govt. Bestows Awards To Naveen Government

Bhubaneswar: Rubbishing BJP National President Amit Shah’s allegations against Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, BJD leaders today launched a virulent attack on the saffron party at a press meet at the party headquarters here today.

Asking the BJP national president of the BJP to brush up his memory and ridiculing his knowledge about history on remark that the ruling party in Odisha is being driven by dynasty politics, BJD said, Biju Patnaik had never inducted his family members into politics.

However, after the demise of the stalwart, Naveen Patnaik, who was far away from politics, plunged into politics because people wanted him to serve the state and have continued to put their faith in him which he has been able to retain for 18 long years through good governance and people friendly programmes.

“He(Naveen Patnaik) is the only leader in India who never speaks anything ill against anyone and believes in doing his job quietly and sincerely.  Amit Shah’s statement against a person of such stature is ridiculous and highly deplorable,” thundered BJD’s spokesperson Arun Sahoo.

“BJP must come out with an answer that why the Central government went on to bestow awards on the BJD government for its contribution towards sports, rural schemes and others if Odisha govt is not performing,” asked BJD’s Rajya Sabha member Pratap Keshari Deb.

It’s the responsibility of the Central governments to provide funds to States. The BJP is not the only government in Centre who is providing funds, other governments were providing before too. Rather the Modi government should present details of Odisha’s pay to the Centre and the assistance provided by the Centre to the state, the BJD leaders claimed.
