BJD expels Anjali Behera, two other rebels


Bhubaneswar, March 29: The BJD on Saturday expelled former minister and sitting Hindol MLA Anjali Behera for filing nomination as a rebel candidate in the Assembly polls.

The party also expelled Kusha Apat (Champua) and Raghunandan Das (Ersama-Balikuda) for the same reasons. The decision to expel the trio was taken by BJD president and chief minister Naveen Patnaik, informed a party release.

It can be recalled that earlier another sitting MLA Bhagarathi Sethi, who also filed his nominations as a rebel candidate from Anandpur Assembly constituency withdrew his nomination after being warned by the party.
