As a part of the drive to demolish illegal construction, BMC demolished a part of Arshad Warsi bungalow at Versova on Monday. The move comes four years after the illegality came to the notice of BMC. Only a symbolic demolition was carried out as the bungalow was locked. BMC officials engaged in this demolition drive said that they would issue another notice to Warsi to remove the illegal floor which is situated in Air India Co-Operative Society in Versova.The said bungalow has illegal construction of second floor of around 1300sq.ft. After several notice the actor didn’t comply to the BMC official for which a symbolic partial demolition was done on Monday. The BMC also examined other bungalows in the vicinity and found out that many others have carried out such illegal constructions. BMC officials have identified such buildings and have decided to send notices to demolish such illegal constructions.
