Puri(Samaya Bureau): The team of the expert committee comprising engineers from Public Works Department (PWD) and members of chariot technical committee today inspected the construction of three chariots here. The committee members also examined the process of replacement of axle in Devi Subhadra’s Rath which was broken yesterday.
Chief administrator of the Sri Jagannath Temple Administration Pradeep Jena told media persons that measures would be taken as per the suggestions of the committee members. Not only Debadalana, chariot of Goddess Subhadra, parts of other chariots will also be examined thoroughly before the Car Festival.
Meanwhile, fresh wood reached the chariot construction yard, Ratha Khala, as the process to replace the broken axle started. The Maharana servitors started sculpting the wood for the replacement.
