CPM releases poll manifesto


Bhubaneswar: Releasing its Odisha specific poll manifesto on Saturday, the CPM announced that it would focus on proper implementation of land reforms if voted to power. The party also assured to strive for streamlining of the PDS, protecting rights of farmers and people living in the lower strata of society and decentralization of panchayatiraj institutions.

The CPM condemned the stand of the three major political forces in the state (BJD, BJP and Congress) on industrial development and announced to have an alternative industrial policy, which would be pro-people and a long term development plan, the party stated.

The party also announced to focus on integrated growth with more employment generation and more opportunity and compensation for farmers who lose their crops in natural calamities.
