Berhampur: Dreaded criminal Kanhu Swain who facing alteast 13 criminal cases of dacoity, extortion and attempt to murder was arrested after a police encounter near Bhanjanagar in Ganjam locale.
A gun with ammunition was seized from Kanhu Swain (23) who was captured after an encounter while his associate fled away, police said.
Swain who sustained bullet injury in his right leg during the exchange of fire was admitted to hospital at Bhanjanagara, police said adding he is stated to be out of danger.
