Bhubaneswar : Sanjay Das Burma, the Food Supply & Consumer Wellfare Minister’s vehicle which was again showered with eggs and tomatoes today at Chhatrapur, the district headquarters town of Odisha’s Ganjam district.
The Minister’s vehicle was likewise showered with eggs yesterday at Puri.
The event took place when some youth claiming to belong to the students’ and youth wings of the Congress celebration tossed eggs and tomatoes at the Minister’s car near the Chhatrapur College square on the national highway while he was on his method to attend the golden jubilee celebrations of Behampur University, reports stated. The assaulters however, managed to flee the spot, the files added.
While the Students’ Congress has actually claimed responsibility for the act, the Minister has actually alleged it to be the workmanship of a previous MLA from Puri district.
