Team India is on seventh heaven as India led the ICC T20I Team rankings after completing the white wash over Australia in the three-match Twenty20 international series at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Sunday.
India were on eighth position at the beginning of the series. But after completing the clean sweep, India sidelined West Indies from the top spot two the second place. With 120 points, India is at the top while the Caribbeans are at the second place with 118 points. Sri Lanka is at third place with 118 points as well. England (117), New Zealand (116), South Africa (115) and Pakistan (113) are on fourth to seventh position respectively.
The series loss hit the Aussies very hard and they slipped to the eighth position with 110 points.
India is also leading the ICC Test Team rankings while they are in the second slot in the ODI rankings.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli who is called as World’s best batsman currently, dethroned Australian T20 skipper Aaron Finch to seal the top spot in the ICC T20I batsmen’s rankings. Virat has now 892 points while Finch who slipped to the second place, has 868 points.
Virat is at second place in the ICC ODI batsmen’s rankings with 825 points while Mr 360 AB De Villiers is leading the rankings with 900 points.
