IPS Officer Debasis Panigrahi passes away

Bhubaneswar: June 19: One of the finest IPS officer from Odisha Debasis Panigrahi is no more.  Pangrahi, a 1991 batch IPS Officer and State Vigilance Director succumbed to Covid complications while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kolkata.

Sources said, he was tested positive for Coronavirus and was in Home Isolation. But, later he was shifted to Cuttack Ashwini Covid Hospital. He was under ventilator support for few days in Hospital and on June 8, as his Health condition deteriorated, he was taken to Kolkata by Air Ambulance.

He has written several novels, short stories in Odia & English. Also, he was a Odia Sahitya Akademi award winner.
