ALAPPUZHA: Janadhipathya Samrakshana Samithi (JSS) leader K R Gowri on Wednesday indicated of a conceivable tie-up with the NDA in the up and coming elections.
Addressing journalists at her residence in Chathanattu after the state-centre meeting of the party, she said that a tie-up with the NDA would be talked about in the state advisory group meeting, to be hung on April 9. “We are not against the strategies of the BJP, with the except of its communal politics ,” she said.
However, she lambasted CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and Pinarayi Vijayan for denying seat to the JSS. She said, “They cheated JSS. The people of the state are aware of the role I played for the growth of the CPM. But now I feel that the party has cheated me after inviting me to the Front. I will submit a written protest to Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. We would take further decision on the political stand of the party in the state committee meeting,” Gowri said.
We have directed party members and workers to cast their votes based on the merits of the candidates, she said. The JSS had demanded Aroor, Cherthala, Kayamkulam and Karunagapally seats, which the CPM refused.
