Sharjah: Swashbuckling Indian opening batsman Virender Sehwag has shown a staggering show by playing a demolishing knock of 134 in a Masters Champions League encounter between Gemini Arabians and Sagittarius Strikers here on Friday.

The Nawab of Najafgarah has shown that he has still the temperament to destroy the opponents single handedly as he played a stunning innings of 134 runs off just 63 deliveries, including 10 boundaries and 11 maximums.
Sehwag got a solid co-operation from the former Sri Lankan skipper Kumar Sangakkara as both of them added 135 runs for the second wicket after a magnificent 86-run opening stand in just 7.3 overs between Sehwag and Jacques Rudolph.
Sangakkara scored a solid 33-ball-51 run innings, including five boundaries and two maximums while Rudolph scored a well-supportive 19-ball-27 run knock, including five boundaries.
The Arabians were 223/2 at the end of 19th over. But an astonishing final over from Krishmar Santokie held them with only a single run from the last over as he bagged four wickets in first four deliveries, followed by a dot ball and a run-out on the last delivery. This was the first hat-trick of the MCL tournament.
