Aska: Dreaded criminal Chakanayan Nahak sustained bullet wounds on his leg in a police encounter at Jhagadei region late on Friday night.
As indicated by police sources, a police group endeavored to overwhelm Nahak and his partner when the team was wandering in the city on a bike.
When the police tried to nab them, Nahak opened fire at the team. In reply, the police fired at Nahak in which he sustained bullet injuries on his leg, police sources said.
However, Nahak’s associate managed to escape from the spot during the encounter. A seriously injured Nahak was admitted to Aska hospital, police sources added.
