Bhubaneswar:  The Congress MLA from Talasara assembly segment in Sundergarh district, Prafulla Majhi, today demanded change of guard in the state party leadership.

Echoing the demand raised by another MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati, the Talasara MLA said that the high command must soon replace the present PCC Chief Prasad Harichandan by a more efficient leader who can save the party from being completely decimated in the state.

Targetting former minister Suresh Chandra Routray who incidentally happens to be the father-in-law of Prasad, Majhi said that the veteran Congress leader was stooping low and making personal attacks against other leaders.

“Such remarks in public domain would not augur well for the party in future,” Majhi warned and demanded that the high command must intervene immediately to resolve the state leadership crisis.
