Cuttack: Even as the ongoing strike of the SCB Nursing students entered the fifth day today, the fomenting student met the collector and submitted a notice requesting action against the principal Kajalrani Sinha.
An delegation of the fomenting Nursing student met Cuttack Collector Nirmal Chandra Mishra at his office and submitted an memorandum demanding either suspension or transfer of the Principal.
“The Principal, who is yet to be suspended, is trying to delay the investigation. We demand her immediate suspension,” said a Nursing student.
Claiming that the Nursing students were not at fault, she said the Hospital authorities had intentionally closed the Nursing School sine die to protect the erring principal.
“We demand the lifting of the sine die without any further delay,” she added.
She also said the students were forced to leave their hostel in the morning without providing them food. There are still some students in the hostel, who are continuing with their protest.
