Separated After Birth: Jaga Starts Physical Movement In AIIMS, New Delhi, Says Health Minister


Bhubaneswar: Good news for millions of the well-wishers of now separated Kandhamal twins Jaga and Balia undergoing treatment in AIIMS,New Delhi. Health Minister Pratap Jena today informed that Jaga has started physical movement of his hands and legs.

Talking to reporters, Health Minister Pratap Jena said that Jaga has started movement of his hands and legs and he has also opened his eye. Jaga is now able to sense and gradually getting normal, he aded.

On the other hand, there is not much improvement in the health condition of Balia. “We expect that there will be improvement in his health condition in the next couple of days,” he said. “Let us all pray and hope that Jaga and Balia recover soon and return to Odisha at the earliest.”

The twins have been put under 24X7 observation at the Intensive Care Unit(ICU) of AIIMS in New Delhi and a team of around 30 specialists headed by Head of the Department of Neuro Surgery in AIIMS Dr Ashok Mohapatra have been have been taking care of the twins-Jaga and Balia.

Meanwhile, prayers for their speedy recovery are being held at different places of the state.
