Berhampur: A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth near a village at Gangapur zone in Ganjam locale, police said on Monday.
The charged, recognized as Santosh Pradhan (20) of Digi town, was kept by the police.
The minor girl was initially conceded at sub divisional hospital at Bhanjanagar and afterward alluded to MKCG Medical College and Hospital here, police said.
Though details about the incident was not known, the police said the accused allegedly raped her on the outskirt of the village after luring her yesterday.
Father of the girl lodged a complaint against the accused in Gangapur police station today after the victim narrated the incident to her mother.
