Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Assembly, which has failed to execute any imperative business because of rehashed suspensions throughout the last ten days, saw similar scenes today when the striking SC,ST MLAs made a commotion constraining the Speaker to adjourned the House till 3 pm.
Soon after the House amassed for the day, the fomenting legislators belonging to BJP and Congress, who have been requesting execution of ORV Act, raced to the well of the House and yelled slogans squeezing their demands. Not able to run the inquiry hour, Speaker Niranjan Pujari adjourned it till 3pm.
The agitating SC/ST MLAs had on Friday prostrated before chief minister Naveen Patnaik in the Assembly in a novel, innovative protest to put their demand before the leader of the House. The chief minister had paid little heed to their demand and left the House inviting sharp criticism from the agitating lawmakers.
