New Delhi: The Union Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu, deeply anguished over regular rise in the number of train accidents today offered to resign from the Union Cabinet. Suresh met the Prime Minister at the PMO and expressed his willingness to tender his resignation on moral ground.
As per reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked Suresh to wait. The Prime Minister’s suggestion to Suresh indicated that a major reshuffle in the Union Cabinet might take place any day in the near future.
In a series of tweets, Suresh Prabhu said,”I am extremely pained by the unfortunate accidents, injuries to passengers and loss of precious lives. It has caused me deep anguish.
Another tweet read,”I met the Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi; taking full moral responsibility. Hon’ble PM has asked me to wait.”
