Bhubaneswar: September 8: Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), has extended the timing of Darshan to Deities. Earlier, it was 7am to 7 pm. Now, Devotees can have the Darshan from 7am to 9 pm.
Darshan at Shree Jagannath Temple will now be allowed on Saturdays also. Earlier, it was from Monday to Friday. But, it will be from Monday to Saturday.
The decision was communicated by the Development Administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), Ajay Jena on Wednesday.
Mr. Jena said, the darshan timings from Monday to Saturday (except Sundays) have been extended from 7 AM till 9PM instead of 7 PM. According to the temple administration, Sundays will be utilised for sanitisation work at the temple.
However, the Puri Srimandir will remain closed on Ganesh Chaturthi (September 10), Vishwakarma Puja this month and 3 days in the month of October.
