7 policemen were killed in an IED blast in Jharkhand


An IED blast in Jharkhand’s Palamu district yesterday killed at least 7 policemen and injured 6 others. The blast was triggered by Maoists.

According to the reports, a mini-bus carrying 12 police personnel was attacked by Maoists in yesterday night. The police were on an anti-Naxal operation when the vehicle drove over the improvised explosive device.

Jharkhand Director General of Police D.K. Pandey said that a search operation is underway.
