Koraput: The Congress MLA from Koraput Krushna Chandra Sagaria today threatened to quit from his post and leave the party itself if no action is taken by the party high command against senior party leader and MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati.
Krushna Sagaria alleged that the Jeypore MLA and Congress chief whip made casteist remarks against him. He alleged that he was being constantly ignored within the party.
The Koraput MLA said he has sent letters about his discontent to Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. “I have lost my patience with the party leadership,” he rued.
He further alleged that the Koraput unit of Congress was hatching a conspiracy against him as he recently converted to Buddhism from Hinduism. “Some people lodged complaints against me in the police station after being instigated by some party workers,” he alleged.
“As the party high command did not take any action in this regard despite my plea, I will quit the party,” he added.
On the other hand, Tara Prasad Bahinipati dismissed the allegations of Krushna Sagaria. “I have not said anything against him(Sagaria),” he clarified.
