Five districts of Jammu division got its 2G internet facilities restored in the morning on Saturday after the Centre had ordered a lock down on all internet services since August 4 after India took a historic decision to revoke Article-370 on August 5.
Jammu, Reasi, Samba, Kathu and Udhampur got back its 2G internet services operational, while the other five districts- Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban, Rajouri and Poonch in the Jammu region are yet to avail the internet service.
However, 144 CrPC restrictions in Rajouri and Kishtwar will be lifted only during the day time and in the night time restrictions will again be restored.
Meanwhile, Kashmir region has been reeling under the imposition of heavy restrictions by the Centre.
Banks, offices and educational institutions have been reopened and normal life is back on track in the five Jammu districts.
