Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav finally spoke on the decision of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati to break the alliance on Tuesday.
Yadav said, “If our paths are different, then we welcome it also and congratulations to everyone.”
Mayawati has announced earlier on Tuesday, to contest 11 bypoll seats without any alliance and also said, the breakup of the alliance is not permanent.
The SP chief also said, “If the coalition has broken, I will reflect deeply on it and if the coalition isn’t there in the by-elections, the Samajwadi Party will prepare for the elections. Samajwadi Party will also fight on all 11 seats alone.”
The SP and BSP had formed an alliance after years of indifference, to stop BJP from coming to power in the Lok Sabha 2019 polls which actually failed after the declaration of poll results on May 23.
