A chargesheet has been filed against Harayana’s former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda, senior Congress leader Motilal Vohra & AJL (Associated Journalists Limited) by the CBI in land re-allotment case.
The exchequer bears a loss of rupees 67 lakhs for a plot in Panchkula in Haryana as filed in the chargesheet.
As per the CBI, the FIR mentions in 1982 a 3360 square metres plot in Sector 6, Panchkula was allotted to AJL. But construction work was kept on halt till 1992. The land was later reacquired by the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA). But in 2005, the plot was re-alloted to AJL at the original base price. This clearly violated the rules and regulations as per the HUDA.
The ex Haryana CM, Bhupinder Singh Hooda was Chairman of HUDA that time.
Hooda and others have been leveled with criminal conspiracy charges and provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
