Dalai Lama arrives for Nashik conference


Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama today arrived in Nashik to attend the ‘Dharma Niripekshata Niti Parishad’ conference.

The conference has been organised by the Indo-Tibet Mangal Maitry Sangh.

One of the programme conveners Atul Bhosekar said that the day-long conference is being held in a local hotel.

Lama, who is visiting Nashik after a gap of 22-years, will deliver a speech at the event after inaugurating it.

Earlier, the Nobel winner was accorded a warm welcome at Ojhar airport here this morning, from where he proceeded to the hotel.

Tibetan leaders Tashi Dolma and Gyeshyeishi Gyaltsen are also attending the meet.
