Congress leader Shashi Tharoor tweeted his response on a letter sent by Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) National Conference (NC) leader Farooq Abdullah on allowing him in the parliament session on Friday.
Shashi Tharoor posted a picture of Farooq Abdullah’s letter and wrote, “Letter from imprisoned Farooq saab. Members of Parliament should be allowed to attend the session as a matter of parliamentary privilege. Otherwise the tool of arrest can be used to muzzle opposition voices. Participation in Parliament is essential 4 democracy&popular sovereignty.”
The NC leader Abdullah had written in his letter to Thiruvananthapuram MP Tharoor that he received the Congress MP’s letter of October 21 on December 2.
