Most Wanted Realtor Arrested By Mayurbhanj Police For Rs 5 cr Fraud


Baripada: A director of a real estate firm who was on the run was today arrested by Baripada Town police in Mayurbhanj district for duping people to the tune of over Rs 5 crore.

According to reports, the director of Apna Sapna Real Estates Pvt Ltd Abjashree Bindhani was wanted by Town Police since May 2016 in connection with land fraud cases.

Finally, the hide and seek game of Abjhshree Bindhani (47) was over today with his arrest by the cops.

Notably, a complainant Sukumar Ranjan Pradhan had filed an FIR with Baripada Town Police on May 23,2016 alleging that Abjhshree had defrauded him of Rs 9.20 lakh as he failed to return his booking amount for a piece of land under a plotted scheme.

When the accused failed to provide him land, the prospective buyer asked the former to return his deposit amount. After playing truant for long, Abjhshree issued a cheque against the name of Sukumar which was dishonoured by the concerned bank due to insufficient balance. Sukumar then filed a complaint against the accused following which started a probe.

The company having its registered office at Delta Chak under Baramunda in Bhubaneswar had a branch office at Station Bazar area in Baripada.

The company registered in 2010 has reportedly  cheated around 50 people to the tune of over Rs 5 crore.
