Cuttack: In an astounding twist to the burglary of one and half month old baby girl from Sishu Bhavan, police on Saturday recuperated the body of the baby from Jobra region here.
As indicated by sources, police have captured five persons, including the parent of the baby girl.
Notably on March 18, parents of the baby girl, who are residents of Sunakhala in Khurda district, had lodged a complaint at Lalbag police station about their girl going missing while undergoing treatment at the government-run hospital.
The infant was brought to the government-run hospital in a serious condition in the wee hours of Thursday. But the baby was shifted to the casualty department after preliminary treatment as there was no vacancy in the ICU.
The mother of the baby said she went to bathroom at around 9 am but did not find her daughter when she returned.
