Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological department today forecast thunderstorm and lightning in 16 districts of the State and warned residents of these districts not to go to open fields.
It cautioned the people of 16 districts to stay indoors or take shelter at safe locations.
The districts for which the lightning warning was clamped are: Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Ganjam, Khurda, Deogarh, Cuttack, Puri, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Sundargarh and Angul.
